Construction doesn’t stop in November. In fact, for a lot of San Antonio contractors, late fall is prime selling season. Homeowners want projects done before the holidays. Commercial clients are spending year-end budgets. And anyone planning a 2026 build is researching contractors right now.
When they research you, they hit your website. What they find determines whether they call or keep scrolling. Here’s what to fix before the year ends.
Update Your Project Portfolio
Your most persuasive marketing tool is your completed work. But if the newest project on your website is from 2023, it looks like you’ve been sitting idle.
Add every significant project from 2025:
- High-quality before and after photos
- A brief description: what was done, where, and any notable challenges
- The type of project (residential remodel, commercial buildout, custom home, etc.)
Organize by category so visitors can quickly find projects relevant to what they need. A homeowner looking for a kitchen remodel shouldn’t have to scroll through commercial projects to find examples.
Fix Your Contact Process
How easy is it to request a quote? Go to your website and try it yourself:
- Is there a “Get a Free Estimate” button visible without scrolling?
- Does the contact form actually work? (Test it. You’d be surprised.)
- Can someone call you directly from a mobile device with one tap?
- Do you offer online scheduling for consultations?
If your contact form asks for 15 fields of information, cut it to 5: name, phone, email, project type, brief description. You can get details later. Right now, you just need the lead. Your social media presence should also make it easy to contact you, linking back to these same forms.
Add Testimonials to Key Pages
Don’t hide your reviews on a dedicated testimonials page nobody visits. Place them where they matter:
- On your homepage
- On each service page
- Next to your portfolio projects
- Near your contact form
“We hired [Your Company] for a complete bathroom remodel in Terrell Hills. They finished on time, on budget, and the quality is outstanding….The Ramirez Family”
Testimonials near a CTA reinforce the buying decision at the exact moment someone is considering reaching out.
Improve Your Local Pages
If you serve multiple areas around San Antonio, make sure you have location-specific pages:
- “General Contractor in Boerne, TX”
- “Home Remodeling in New Braunfels”
- “Custom Homes in the Hill Country”
Each page should have unique content…not duplicate text with different city names. Mention neighborhoods, landmarks, and the types of projects common in each area. This location-page strategy is a key part of local SEO for construction businesses. And making sure your Google Business Profile matches your website updates is just as important for ranking in the map pack.
