San Antonio, one person
San Antonio SEO for businesses people choose on trust
I am Matt Jennings. I do local SEO services in San Antonio for owners who already do good work and are tired of being the best kept secret in town. It is me on your account start to finish, and I answer my own email.
Ask me a questionWhat does local SEO in San Antonio involve?
It comes down to five things. The website itself, meaning its structure, its speed, and whether the words on the page tell Google what you do and where you do it. Your Google Business Profile, which is the thing most people actually see before they ever reach your site. Directory listings and citations, so your name, address, and phone match everywhere they appear. Backlinks from places that have a reason to link to you. And being present in the sources that AI assistants read when someone asks them for a recommendation.
San Antonio matters here in a practical way. A plumber in Alamo Heights and a plumber in Stone Oak are not competing for the same map pack. Service area, neighborhood language, and the reviews attached to your profile do a lot of the work. So does being an actual local business with a real address and real photos, which most of my clients already are.
I do not run this as five separate projects with five separate invoices. It is one job. Some months the biggest win is a page rewrite. Some months it is fixing a listing that has your old suite number on it. I work on whatever is holding you back that month.
Has this worked for anyone?
Two examples, with the numbers straight from the accounts.
A boutique fitness studio relaunched with me in June 2026. Comparing the three month average before to the three month average after, Google impressions went up 137 percent and clicks went up 68 percent. Tracked website leads went from zero to an average of twelve a month. In its best full month the site pulled 8,370 impressions, 154 clicks, and 10 website leads. Roughly one in four of those leads became a paying client. There was no ad spend behind any of it.
A local home service business is ranking in Google's top 3 for 26 searches, including position 2 for its main money search, five months after the site launched. Over that stretch it collected 16.2 thousand search impressions.
I am not going to pad this page with logos and quotes I made up. These are two accounts whose numbers I can pull up in the dashboard on a call, and that beats twenty testimonials you cannot check.
How long does it take?
Plan on months. The first month is mostly repair work and it usually looks like nothing is happening. Month two and three you start seeing impressions move, which means Google is showing you to more people even if they are not clicking yet. Somewhere around month four to six is where most of my clients notice the phone. The home service business hit its top 3 rankings five months after launch. The fitness studio needed a full relaunch first.
If your site is newer, or your category is crowded, it takes longer. If your Google Business Profile is a mess and nobody has touched it in three years, cleaning that up can move things faster than anything I do on the website.
I will never promise you a ranking. Nobody who tells you they can guarantee position one is telling you the truth, because none of us control Google. What I can promise is that the work gets done and you can see exactly what it was.
What if there is nothing to do this month?
Then you do not get charged. It is written into my agreements: a month where no SEO work is performed is a month you are not billed for. I would rather tell you your site is in good shape and skip the invoice than invent busywork to justify a retainer.
It is a flat monthly fee, so you know the number before the month starts. Every month you get a report of what I did. It lists the pages I touched, the listings I fixed, and the links I earned. It is month to month with 14 days notice. There is no annual contract, because if I need a contract to keep you, I have not done the job.
I am solo and San Antonio based. I currently work with clients in Texas, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. I take a small number of accounts on purpose.
How does this get me named by ChatGPT and Gemini?
It is the same work. When someone asks an AI assistant for a recommendation, that assistant is pulling from the web it has read: your site, your Google Business Profile, directories, review sites, articles that mention you. A business that is clearly described and consistently listed is a business an assistant can confidently name. A business with a thin site and three conflicting addresses is one it will skip.
I do not sell this as a separate service with a new acronym. Content written so Google understands what you do and where is the same content that gets you named in an AI answer. It is one job now.
For what it is worth, this site is cited by name in an AI-generated answer for "san antonio small business marketing". I did that with the same work I would do for you.
Fair questions
How long before I see results from SEO?
Plan on months. Impressions usually move first, often by month two or three. Calls and form fills tend to follow around month four to six. A home service client of mine reached Google's top 3 for 26 searches five months after launch. If someone tells you page one by Friday, they are guessing or lying.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and neither should anyone else. I do not control Google's index or its updates. I guarantee the work is done, that you get a written report of what was done, and that a month with no work performed is a month you are not charged for.
What is included each month?
Work on the website itself, meaning structure, speed, and content. Google Business Profile management. Directory listings and citations. Backlink work. And making sure you show up in the sources AI assistants read. A flat monthly fee covers it, month to month with 14 days notice.
Do I still need SEO if I am already running ads?
Usually yes, because they do different jobs. Ads stop the day you stop paying. The fitness studio I mentioned went from zero tracked leads to twelve a month with no ad spend at all. Ads stop working the day the budget stops, while a search position keeps sending people for as long as you hold it. Most owners are best off doing some of both once the site is solid.
Is this a fit?
I am a good fit if you run a service business people choose on trust and you want one person handling this who actually picks up. I am not a fit if you want page one by Friday, or if you are shopping on price alone, and I would rather say that now than three months in. Send me a note and tell me what you do and what is not working. I read and answer these myself, usually the same day.
